Swope Health Supports Three Weekend Vaccination Events
On Saturday, Aug. 28, the Swope Health team provided COVID-19 vaccinations at three area events:
- At the conference of the Kansas City chapter of the National Congress of Black Women, held at the JE Dunn Construction headquarters, 1001 Locust St., Kansas City, MO, Swope Health offered vaccinations to the 75 participants.
The National Congress of Black Women Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984, dedicated to the educational, political, economic and cultural development of African American women and their families. The mission of the Congress is to educate youth on the responsibilities of good citizenship and the importance of engaging the political process, while also providing opportunities for internships and other learning experiences at the local, state, national and global levels.
- At the local American Postal Workers Union picnic, Swope Health joined festivities that included a waterslide, carnival games and food trucks at the day-long annual celebration for inside, maintenance and transportation workers at the US Postal Service. The event was open to active workers and retirees and their families. More than 400 people participated in the event at the IBEW Local 124 facility, 301 E. 103rd Terrace in Kansas City, MO.
- At the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event, Swope Health provided COVID-19 vaccinations to participants.
