Swope Health Services is a busy place. Each year, we care for more than 40,000 people, providing all aspects of healthcare. That’s more than 213,000 visits, covering everything from flu shots to pregnancy, well-child visits to chronic illness, behavioral health to dentistry and optometry.

And we know that your schedule is busy, too. Work, kids, transportation, errands — lots of reasons make it hard to carve out time for visiting a health professional.

To make healthcare easier for you, SHS offers same-day appointments. The best way to get same-day service is to call ahead — 816-923-5800. With a phone call, our patient service representatives can check the schedules and set aside time for you, usually within a few hours.

Our provider schedules are designed with the flexibility to handle same-day walk-in visits, usually in the appointment slots at the end of the morning (just before noon) and near the end of the day (just before 5 p.m.).

Plus, SHS Central holds evening clinic hours Monday through Friday, with the last appointment at 8:15 p.m. For speediest service, call first.

We respect your time. If you’ve booked an appointment, we plan on seeing you at that time. If you can’t make your appointment, we ask that you let us know and reschedule. That way, we can give the newly opened appointment time to someone who needs it.
